Tailored yoga practice for physical & mental wellbeing

Yoga therapy brings the ancient practices of yoga into modern day life

I offer yoga therapy in a safe and confidential space to support self-healing. A tailored yoga practice to improve physical, mental and emotional well-being, designed to support your own specific health needs and challenges.

Yoga therapy is a complementary therapy and can work alongside other therapies and traditional medical treatment. It is based on a holistic approach to health. Research has shown that yoga has a range of benefits for various health conditions including reducing or relieving pain, discomfort and distress; helping to manage chronic conditions and enhancing a sense of well-being. Clients are provided with a home practice to support their well-being goals.

A holistic approach in a relaxed setting

Together we will explore various tools and create a simple and manageable practice that you can practice between and after sessions. The aim of these sessions is to empower you with a practice which will support you to restore a greater balance within your body, both physically, mentally and emotionally. My role is to guide and support you through this process.

General benefits of yoga therapy:

Establish improved breathing and movement

A tailored plan to suit individual needs

Some clients obtain sufficient tools and support from a short course of 5 sessions including assessment and 3 practice sessions. Others gain greater benefits from working together for a longer series of sessions. No experience of yoga is necessary.

Supporting mental & emotional well-being

Starting with an in-depth assessment

I’ll gain a detailed understanding of your current health issues and your goals. I am also interested in your daily activities, diet, exercise and sleep and will assess your movement and breathing patterns. Bringing that together with your priority concerns, I will develop a yoga practice that you will be able to do at home - and take you through it so you can practice safely. Further sessions will review and refine so you get the most benefit possible.
